Day 63: Ruts

Happy Thursday and Day 63 of Another 100 Days of Hannah, y'all!

First things first (because, don't I have to start all of my posts like this?):
Y'all, if you've never tried cleaning your house first thing in the morning, I highly suggest giving it a whirl.

Like, seriously.

There is something ridiculously empowering about heading off to work knowing that the house is already picked up and ready to go for the day.

In any case...

If you can't tell, for the first time in... close to a month, I actually have some more energy this morning!  And, while I obviously don't know how long it'll last for, I'm super grateful for a slightly more motivated morning today.

Umm... yeah, not sure where else to go from there.

It'd be tempting, in my current state, to write about how to be most productive in the mornings, but, considering this is not necessarily my normal state of functioning, that would be pretty sham advice.

Hmm... what else...

This morning, as I was reading day 57 of my 60 day devotional, I realized how excited I am to be almost done with this one.

Don't get me wrong, it's been great.
But, I'm just ready for a change.

You know, like (if you're a woman) when you like your hair, but just know it's time to change it up, do something different?

That's how I feel about this devotional.

It's served its purpose, and I've really enjoyed it, but I'm ready to read something else.
Maybe dive into scripture (back to James!).
Maybe start a new devotional (piano/cactus book).
I don't know.
Just something... different.

Because right now, I feel like I've been stuck in a bit of a rut.
Where, yes, I wake up, I read my devotional, etc etc, but that's, many days, about where it ends.

And, I don't know about you, but I don't like that feeling.
Of being stuck.
On autopilot.
Just going through the motions.

And so, today, I'm excited.
Excited for change.

'Til tomorrow,

Hannah
